PSA Web Site Features: Videos

Videos are an integral part of the PSA web site. The use of videos on the web site will increase as more PSA services and activities take advantage of this methodology to display a program’s winning images, offer an example, provide instruction, or summarize the photo opportunities or events of a PSA activity or service.

At the bottom of the PSA web site homepage is the video “If You Love Photography . . .” which provides an overview of PSA services and activities. In just under six minutes, the viewer is introduced to many of the benefits of PSA membership. This video is receiving an increasing number of hits each day.

The Photo Travel Division (PTD) has taken advantage of the opportunity to have videos on the PSA web site by providing an example of a Travelette. This sample Travelette is enjoyable to watch and is provided to help members to produce their own Travelette and enter the PTD Travelette Competition. This video is available at: Divisions > Photo Travel > Travelette.

The PSA Annual Conference has benefited the most from the PSA web site’s video capability. Videos have been prepared from photos taken during the previous year's PSA Annual Conference. These videos are a nice memory for those who attended and, a review of these videos provides an idea of the opportunities that are available each year at the Conference. PSA member’s photographs are used to prepare videos of the photography opportunities during the upcoming Conference.
