PSA Web Site Features: Reference Lists

Most web sites include reference material. The PSA web site is no exception and contains several reference lists not previously available online. These lists range from the names of those who have held PSA positions, to the recipients of PSA recognition for photography and service.

Between the lists of those previously holding positions and previous award recipients, there are reference lists covering numerous other topics. For example, the location of previous PSA Annual Conferences can be found at: Conference > Overview > Past Conference Locations, and the recipients of PSA Scholarships over the years can be found at: Nonprofit Service > PSA Scholarship Program > Previous Scholarship Recipients.

By posting the previous recipients of PSA recognition, each award has increased significance since the list will remain online for all to reference. Check out the lists of the recipients of the prestigious PSA Progress Medal, the International Understanding Through Photography (IUTP) Award, the President's Award, the Society Recognition Awards, Service Awards, Membership Awards, Journal Awards, Club Awards, and Division Awards. An outline of these awards can be found at: Recognition > Overview. Also check out the individual and club winners of the various Interclub Competitions over the years. These lists illustrate how the competitions have changed regarding image format and entry method.

All these reference lists are on the PSA web site where they can be accessed by anyone. They are not hidden away in old PSA Membership Directories (last published in 1998) or only found in PSA Journals where one round or one year’s results for a competition or contest are reported.

If you have a compilation of PSA data you think should be included on the web site and in the PSA historical records, please send it to the webmaster.
