PSA Web Site Features: News Items & News Articles

One of the most significant features of the PSA web site is the PSA news which appears in the right column of the homepage. News Items are added every two to three days and the most recent News Item is placed at the top of the column.

The brief News Items always link to additional information. These links go to one of three different locations depending on the nature of the news story.

For example, News items might report the results of a PSA Competition (e.g., Interclub, Image of the Year, Photo Story), the posting of the quarterly Chapter Gallery, or the results from a section of the annual PSA Exhibition. These News Items are posted on the homepage with arrows that link to the webpage(s) where the complete information can be found.

News Items might announce that a new Director has been appointed to lead a PSA activity, a member has published a book or is having a gallery opening, or a Chapter is conducting a field trip. These News Items are posted on the homepage with arrows that link to the full story in a News Article which is presented in a quarterly newsletter format. The News Articles from previous quarters are linked at the top and bottom of the current News Articles and are linked here: Spring 2011 | Summer 2011 | Fall 2011 | Winter 2011.

In a similar fashion, when the latest issue of the PSA Journal is available online, a new Mentor or Consultant is available to help members explore an area of interest, or a new discount is available for members; the News Item will be posted on the homepage with a “login” symbol that will lead members to the members’ only area: My PSA.
