PPD Print of the Month (POM): July 2012The July winner is "Fallen Iris Petal," the Star Color winner by Claudia Peterson of San Jose, CA. The judge, Heinz W. Otto, FPSA, MPSA explains his choice this way: The overall intentional soft focus in this print creates an ethereal effect so that a small petal, sharp, and strong in color, becomes the center of interest in the correct place on the composition. The soft color harmony of the background complements the small purple and yellow petals.
