PPD Print of the Month (POM): August 2012Joe Chunko, of Mason, Ohio, who joined the group in December, won with his first place Color Print, Storm Clouds Arriving. Our judge, Edwin Roth, said that this is a beautifully executed cityscape. The strong foreground image of the boat lends to the wonderful depth of field. The bridge then carries your eye across the river to the early morning light illuminating the buildings on the opposite shore. The sharpness across the entire image and the foil of the blackness of the shadows really helps to contribute to the mood of the photo.
