Entry Fees These competitions are open, free of charge, to all individual PSA members, who are in good standing, as one of their many membership benefits.

Creative Images The PSA definition of Creative is "Altered Reality." The image must obviously display a change in natural color, form, shape, or any combination of these three. Creative images are often montages (a blending or composite of multiple images). High Dynamic Range (HDR) images without further changes are not considered "altered reality."

Entries must originate as photographs (image-captures of objects via light sensitivity) made by the entrant on photographic emulsion and digitally scanned or acquired digitally. By virtue of submitting an entry, the entrant certifies the work as his/her own and permits the sponsors to reproduce all or part of the entered material free of charge for publication and/or display in media related to the competition. This may include low resolution posting on a web site. The competition assumes no liability of any misuse of copyright.

Images may be altered, either electronically or otherwise, by the maker and artwork or computer graphics created by the entrant may be incorporated if the photographic content predominates. All final work must be an electronic file.

Neither the maker's name or the image title shall not appear in the image area of the digital file.

Any image that received an award or Honorable Mention in a previous PID Individual Creative Competition is not eligible for re-entry.

Entries As many as two digital images may be entered in each competition.

Images Images must be "jpg" format.

The maximum allowable horizontal dimension (width) is 1024 pixels.

The maximum allowable vertical dimension (height/tall) is 768 pixels.

Smaller images are acceptable.

File Names It is not necessary to re-name your image file; that will be done for you automatically.

Color Profile Saving your files files using the sRGB color profile is recommended as it is optimum for the projection conditions used in judging.

Awards For each competition: Honor Awards will be given for First, Second and Third Place. The number of Honorable Mention awards will be determined by the number of entries.

At the end of the year, all Award and Honorable Mention images will be judged. Medals will be given for First, Second and Third Place.

All images included in the end of the year competition will be shown during the PSA Annual Conference and the awards will be presented at the PID Luncheon during the PSA Annual Conference.
