Individuals and Clubs are recognized for outstanding service by PSA through the Individual and Club Service Awards.  There are many outstanding examples of individuals and clubs providing valuable help and assistance to others.  It is important that these volunteers be thanked for their efforts.  PSA members are encouraged to nominate these individuals and clubs for the individual and club awards. 

Individual Service Awards are given not for photographic performance but for service to the Society, its aims and principles, at regional, national or international levels, and for service to photography in its broadest scope as an art, a science, or as an instrument of international good will.  An individual service medal is available to PSA members, for the most distinguished service.  A commendation certificate is available to PSA members for service to PSA or to photography, and to non-members for service to PSA.  Any PSA member may nominate another PSA member for the service medal, and may nominate another PSA member or non-PSA member for the commendation certificate.  These awards may be presented at a club, chapter, or council meeting, or at a PSA international conference.   The Service Awards Committee will either approve or disapprove the proposed award.  Expect three months for processing the proposed award.  More information is available from the Director.
