This award is presented in recognition of outstanding service in the advancement of photography by teaching with no financial compensation.  Drs. Samuel and Evelyn Ross in memory of Helen Manzer, FPSA, established this award in 1972.  Those former students wanted to honor her in recognition of their admiration of her teaching.  The award is to serve as a continuing tribute to persons who have given freely of their time and efforts in the field of teaching.
