PSA Membership Information
Interested in becoming a PSA member?
All that is required is an interest in photography, at any level, from beginner to internationally recognized artist or skilled professional. There are programs for everyone and there are no restrictions based on age, skill, sex, race, business, or profession. The member's photography may be a hobby, avocation, full-time vocation or even just an intense interest in finding a new and lasting recreational activity.
A key to participation in PSA is the PSA Journal, the oldest consumer photographic magazine published in the United States. Every issue of the Journal includes articles with examples of outstanding photography, "how to" information, data on the latest equipment, book reviews, and news about PSA members and their activities and accomplishments.
The seven PSA Divisions (Pictorial Print, Color Projected Image, Nature, Photo Travel, Photojournalism, Electronic Imaging, Stereo) offer more than one hundred specific services and activities. These include courses in photography, technical information services; instructional slide sets, DVDs and videos; critique and evaluation services; group workshops; national, regional and local photo seminars; print, slide, digital essay competitions and more.
Dues are as low as $45 per year for the USA, Canada & Mexico. Rates are slightly higher in other countries.
Your membership also includes 12 issues of the PSA Journal magazine.
