Welcome to the Arizona State Membership home page. Thank you for visiting with us. Please come again!

As the Arizona State Membership Directors, our team and we look forward to helping the members of our state take advantage of all of its available photographic opportunities. Assistance with participation in individual and interclub competitions, study groups and showcase galleries are just a few examples. Programs are also being planned that will be geared specifically for our state's members.

On some occasions, we will be working as partners with our West Coast Area Director to provide a wide range of services that will enable the members in our area to easily renew their membership, participate in international exhibitions, maintain acceptance records and make applications for Stars Ratings. Guidance will also be available for those seeking help in improving their photographic skills through the use of PSA Mentors and educational courses.

If you reside in Arizona, please feel free to contact me with your thoughts and suggestions concerning the establishment of programs that will specifically benefit our members. Your contributions will be most helpful. Let's all work together to develop some interesting and exciting activities. Thank you, in advance, for your support and assistance.

Goals for Arizona: A large proportion of PSA membership in Arizona is made up of retired people living in over 55 communities. This is a very important element. We have people with time, experience, and in a lot of cases looking for new worlds to conquer. By adding two Assistant directors positions I hope to be able to not only spend more time with current members but also to reach out to the non retired people in our state. Hot on our agenda will be trying to develop our PSA youth showcase within the state.

PSA Values its Volunteers

An important part of the PSA experience is recognizing the hundreds of volunteers that promote the Society and its programs through a wide range of efforts and services. Supervisors are doing their part by proposing those working for them for recognition awards. However, there are many who are equally as deserving but have not been identified.

It would be helpful for all PSA members to learn about the opportunities for recognition by reviewing the information on Awards found on the PSA website. The upper right area lists the awards that are available as a means of honoring members who make significant contributions.

It would be particularly useful to become familiar with the guidelines, instructions and proposal submission dates pertaining to PSA Honors, Society Recognition Awards and PSA Services Awards. This information will be useful as you do your part to help recognize colleagues who have contributed significantly to the Society. Please consider the PSA members around you and, when appropriate, submit proposals. Your Arizona Membership Directors can provide you with assistance, when necessary.
