Club Registration Deadline: November 15
This PID activity is exclusively for Creative Photography. The PSA definition of Creative is "Altered Reality." More specifically, the image must obviously display a change in natural color, form, shape, or any combination of three. High Dynamic Range (HDR) images without further changes are not considered "altered reality."
There are three competitions per competition year. The participating clubs are organized into three groups (A through C) and the competitions (Rounds) are held in December, February, April, and June. Each club is allowed to enter a maximum of six images per competition, with no more than two from any individual club member. Each club will be allowed to submit a makeup entry for one competition throughout the year.
For each competition, up to six images from each group are selected to receive Awards and between six and eight images from each group receive Honorable Mentions. A slide show of the Award and HM images from each Round is prepared and linked from this webpage.
At the end of the year, a Best of the Best competition is held that includes all images that received an Award of Merit. Six images are selected from each group; a Best of the Best image is then selected from those eighteen images. All Award of Merit and Honorable Mention images are combined into a digital show, complete with music, and presented at the PSA Annual Conference.
These competitions are open to all current PSA-member clubs. Each club is encouraged to give serious consideration to participating as a means of demonstrating their inherent skills and talents, in addition to earning well-deserved recognition. The primary club PID Creative Interclub representative/coordinator must provide an email address; an alternate club representative may also be submitted. Please consult the Creative Interclub Competition Rules.
To register for a PSA Division Interclub Competition, please contact the Interclub Competition Director listed at the top of this page.
Digital entries must be submitted at the Competition web site. This web site will also display the club scores and award-winning images.
