EPSA Gallery: Dirk Van Weert, EPSA
Dirk Van Weert was born in Belgium in 1959. He has been an engineer and teacher for almost thirty years and he got heavily involved in photography after he finished his studies. He is an active member of an Antwerp photo club. He’s also often a member of the jury in local, regional, and International Photo Exhibitions. Dirk joined PSA in 1994 and has since that time has received over 1000 acceptances and received several medals including gold and silver medals. In 1993 he got the AFIAP distinction and he received the EPSA distinction in 2011. He also has over 20 Stars and a Galaxy, divided over six different PSA divisions. Though he has a wide array of interests, he focuses mainly on portrait, studio, landscape, and nature because of the different emotional expressions of the subjects.
