EPSA Gallery: Dana Vannoy, FPSA, EPSA

Dana taught and conducted sociological research at the University of Cincinnati for 29 years. She is now retired and has been Professor of Sociology Emerita since 2000. For the last decade her passion has been studying and practicing the art of photography. She has been a member of PSA since 1997, and has an APSA honor and EPSA distinction. She has been Chair of the Greenhood Grants and Scholarship Committee, Chair of the Service Award Committee, and served on the PSA Nominating Committee.  Dana was chair of the Color Projected Image Division from 2006-2008.  

Dana publishes regularly in the PSA Journal, and was featured in the Distinctive Image column in June 2010. She has received the Elmore Chatham Memorial Award for best feature article in 2008, and in 2010 she received the Charles Keaton Memorial Award for long term feature publication in the PSA Journal.

Dana lives six months a year in Naples, Florida and six months in northern Michigan near Traverse City, and she belongs to camera clubs in both places. She loves to pursue nature and travel photography, and a favorite endeavor is creating stories with images.  Dana both teaches and provides many digital image shows for community audiences.  Beyond photography and grand parenting her activities include golf, tennis, and lots of reading.
