Electronic Imaging Division (EID): Study Groups
EID Study Group members have their images evaluated by their peers in near real-time. Viewing the EID Study Group images and their accompanying evaluations are available to everyone, providing a global learning environment. PSA members can join one of the EID Study Groups by sending an email (including their PSA membership number) to the Director. Study Groups are an opportunity to learn new photographic techniques, how other people react to images, and what other people are doing photographically. They also provide a platform to share and improve photographic methods, learn new methods, and to interact with other photographers regularly, basically, to learn and to improve images. Each Study Group has up to seven (7) members, one of whom is the group’s Administrator. Most groups have general photographic interests where anything photographic goes, but a few Groups specialize in topics such as Monochrome, Creative (defined as “altered reality”), and special software methods. Whatever the Study Group’s interests, the group interacts each month through the EID Study group web site by way of its Administrator. Each member sends its Administrator a new image and description. The Administrator posts all images on the web site once every month. Two weeks later each member sends his or her comments regarding all the group’s images of that month for all to see.
