3D Division (3DD): Traveling Competition
The 3D Traveling Competition is open to all PSA members. Entries of no more than four (4) 3D slides are sent to the competition director for an initial selection (acceptance) by a panel of three judges. The selected photos remain in a year-long competition that tours 3D Clubs in the United States as a program. Eligibility & Rules All 3D slides must have been exposed by the entrant, and marked with title, name and address and numbered to conform to the entry form. Slides should be mounted in glass and in 1-5/8" x4" projection mounts and spotted in the lower left hand corner. Slides too thick for projection (such as glass over cardboard) will be rejected. PSA recommended practices will be followed in the conduct of this competition. Any slide accepted in previous 3D Traveling Competitions is not eligible for re-entry in this competition. Computer generated images are not eligible. All possible care will be taken in handling the entries. Neither the competition Director nor PSA will be responsible for any damage or loss, whether in transit or, while at the camera clubs showing (judging) the slides. Awards The competition will be available for showings by camera clubs throughout the United States for about one year, after which the slides will be returned to the makers. Each club receiving the 3D Traveling Competition secures three evaluators who select First, Second, and Third places and five Honorable Mentions. Records will be kept of points accumulated at club judgings on the basis of four (4) points for 1st, three (3) points for 2nd, two (2) points for 3rd, and one (1) point for each Honorable Mention. The results are tallied throughout the year and medals for First, Second, and Third place are awarded to the top scoring slides. Ribbons are awarded to the top 10%. All slides accepted in the 3D Traveling Competition receive acceptance and title credits towards PSA 3D Star Ratings. Fees Entry fee is $6.00 for entries from the United States and Canada, and $8.00 for entries from other countries. Entries must be sent prepaid. Entries without entry fee will not be judged or returned. Send entries to: Entry Form Entry form is available as a PDF to download and print. Results All entrants will receive a catalog of the accepted images, and the results of the year-long judging are posted on this web site.
