ABOUT THE AMERICAN PORTFOLIOS
The American Portfolios is a Pictorial Print Division (PPD) print activity for PSA members.
A portfolio is a print collection submitted by a small study group of photographers wanting to
discuss and share common interests in the art of print-making for these purposes:

  • Learn where and how to find good pictures
  • Learn techniques to create impressive prints
  • Make photographic buddies across the land
  • Lead to photographic enjoyment and improvement
New PSA members wanting to improve their print-making techniques or to improve their
photography are invited to join this activity.

ANNUAL GREEN EAGLE CONTEST AND RESULTS

  • Open to portfolio members having prints that received the Green Eagle award
  • No fee to enter this contest.
  • Separate contests for monochrome and color prints
  • Include dated Green Eagle label (or copy), or commentator's evaluation with each entry
  • 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each contest receive a Pictorial Print Division medal
  • Runner-up prints in each contest receive honorable mention awards
  • Prints receiving awards are exhibited at the annual PSA International Conference
  • Send entries to: Richard Collier, 1207 Electric Street, Gardena, CA 90248
  • Include return postage with entry (stamps preferred)
  • Prints must not be mounted or framed
  • Maximum eligible print size is 11x14 inches
  • Next contest closing date:
    - August 30, 2009 for Green Eagle awards dated after August 30, 2006
