Activity Summary	Annual Deadline: June 1 Open to all PSA Members A Digital Photo Slideshow Contest An entry for the annual EID Photo Essay Competition is a digital slideshow of images taken by the PSA member. A photo essay utilizes a series of images, with optional text or narration and/or music, to communicate a single purpose or to tell a story. An essay is not a showcase of images without a story to tell. Essays are judged by their storyline as well as their presentation. The special effect features of digital video and slideshow software programs are allowed. The competition chairperson is the EID Director of Photo Essay Competition, Nancy Sams, APSA, EPSA.
Entry Rules	AWARDS 1st Place: Gold Medal and paid PSA membership for one year. 2nd Place: Silver Medal. Three (3) Honorable Mentions: HM Ribbon. Winning essays will be presented at the 2010 PSA International Conference of Photography in Charleston, S.C. SPECIFICATIONS: - Entries must be received no later than June 1, 2010. - Maximum running time is FIVE (5) minutes. - No restrictions on subject matter, content, or special effects (dissovles, transitions, etc.) - Unlimited number of images. - Entries may be entered on CD or DVD media. Entrants who wish to have their media returned must include return postage, or the media will not be returned. - Essays must be viewable on a MS Windows or Apple Macintosh operating system.
