The Mid-Atlantic Chapter is an organization within the Photographic Society of America (PSA) for the individual members of the society in the geographic area within a 150 mile radius of Washington, DC; including Virginia, Maryland, the District of Columbia, Delaware, New Jersey, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania. The Mid-Atlantic Chapter of PSA received its charter in 1997 and the PSA Annual Conference held in St. Charles, Illinois. All members of the Mid-Atlantic Chapter must be members of PSA. Those PSA members residing in the area served can become a Chapter member. Interested out-of-area PSA members are invited to participate in the Chapter activities (except for the Annual Competition), and area photographers are invited to join PSA and contact the Chapter Membership Vice Chair to join the Chapter. The Chapter tries to have two program meetings, one Annual Competition, one cookout/picnic, and one or two field trips each year. All Chapter notifications are handled via email.
