About PSA: PSA Board of Directors

PSA is governed by a Board of Directors that establishes PSA policies, procedures, and practices as set forth in the Bylaws. The Board holds at least two meetings annually, one prior to the Annual Conference and one during the spring at PSA Headquarters.

The Board of Directors is composed of thirteen members. PSA elects the Board of Directors for a two-year term. The Board is elected each odd-numbered year (Division Officers are elected each even-numbered year).

Prior to an election year, the Nominating Committee prepares a slate of candidates for the Board positions and the Secretary publishes the slate in the January PSA Journal. In the absence of any nominations by petition, the Secretary casts the ballot for the membership for the official slate of candidates, and they are declared elected. The Board members assume their duties following the PSA Annual Conference.

Executive Committee

President John Davis, APSA, PPSA prespsa@psa-photo.org South Colby, Washington (Previous PSA Presidents)		The President promotes the general welfare of the Society; performs all duties customarily pertaining to the office; presides at meetings of the Society, its Board of Directors, and its Executive Committee; and otherwise serves as required by the Executive Committee, the Board of Directors, and the exigencies of the office and provisions in the Bylaws.

Executive Vice President Charlie Burke, APSA, EPSA execVP@psa-photo.org Leominster, MA (Previous PSA Executive VPs)		The Executive Vice-President succeeds the President in the event the President shall become unable to perform his or her duties; performs the duties delegated by the President, Executive Committee, Board of Directors, or the Bylaws; supervises the PSA Service Awards Committee (SAC), the Society Recognition Awards Committee (SRAC), the Greenhood Scholarships and Grants Committee (GSGC), the International Relationships Committee (IRC), the Education Services Committee, the Volunteer Services Committee, and the PSA Webmaster; and has secondary Board supervisory responsibility for the Ethics Review Board (ERB).

Secretary Gerald Emmerich, FPSA, GMPSA secretary@psa-photo.org East Troy, Wisconsin (Previous PSA Secretaries)		The Secretary performs the duties inherent in the office, and any other duties that may be delegated by the President, Executive Committee, Board of Directors, or Bylaws. The Secretary is responsible for keeping in permanent form at PSA Headquarters the official minutes of the Executive Committee, Finance Committee, Board of Directors, Annual and Special Meetings of the membership. The Secretary has primary Board supervisory responsibility for the PSA Ethics Review Board.

Treasurer Jan Lee, APSA, EPSA treasurer@psa-photo.org Edmond, OK (Previous PSA Treasurers)		The Treasurer performs the duties inherent in the office and such other duties delegated by the President, Executive Committee, Finance Committee, Board of Directors, and the Bylaws. The Treasurer supervises the preparation of the annual Society budget, submits the audited annual financial statements for publication in the Society's Journal or the Society's website, supervises the annual inventory of the Society's property, provides monthly financial statements to the Executive Committee, serves as chairman of the Finance Committee, and supervises the operations of PSA Headquarters.

Vice Presidents

Chapters, Clubs & Councils Vice President Nan Carder, PPSA cccVP@psa-photo.org Lancaster, CA (Previous CCC VPs)		The Chapters, Clubs, and Councils Vice President supervises Chapter activities and recommends the chartering and dissolution of Chapters as circumstances warrant, and is responsible for Society interactions with the member Clubs and Councils.

Conference Vice President Janet Bigalke, APSA conferenceVP@psa-photo.org Naples, Florida (Previous Conference VPs)		The Conference Vice President recommends locations and dates for the Society's Annual Conference, negotiates with hotels, and supervises the work of the committee that manages these events.

Divisions Vice President Dana Vannoy, FPSA, EPSA divVP@psa-photo.org Williamsburg, MI (Previous Divisions VPs)		The Divisions Vice President supervises Division activities and recommends the creation or dissolution of Divisions as the best interests of the Society may require.

Exhibition Services Vice President Dan Charbonnet, III, FPSA, EPSA exhibitVP@psa-photo.org Westwood, MA (Previous Exhibition Services VPs)		The Exhibition Services Vice President supervises the activities of the committees related to exhibitions: Exhibition Standards (ESC), Who's Who (WWC), Recognition of Photographic Achievement (ROPA), and the PSA International Exhibition.

Image Collections Vice President Henry Ng, APSA, EPSA imagecollectionsVP@psa-photo.org Silver Springs, Maryland (Previous Image Collections VPs)		The Image Collections Vice President is responsible for collecting and archiving the Society's image collections; obtaining licensing and data regarding each collected image; cataloging, creating and maintaining a database, and creating high quality scans of collection images; creating from the collections audio visual programs; and coordinating the educational use of the image collections within PSA and its programs and through outside agencies such as with Artspace at Untitled in Oklahoma City.

Investments Vice President Chuck McCollum investmentsVP@psa-photo.org Williamsville, New York		The Investments Vice President manages the investment accounts of the Society and any such other duties delegated by the President, Finance Committee, Board of Directors and the Bylaws. The Investments Vice President is the head Trustee of the PSA Endowment Funds, a member of the Finance Committee, and provides twice yearly reports to the Finance Committee.

Membership Vice President Donald Brown membershipVP@psa-photo.org (Previous Membership VPs)		The Membership Vice President supervises the operations of the Region Directors, recommends ways to enhance the value of Society membership to current and potential members, recommends and develops programs to promote membership acquisition and retention, and administers the Membership Awards Programs.

Public Relations Vice President Laura Davies, FPSA prVP@psa-photo.org New Brighton, Minnesota (Previous Public Relations VPs)		The Public Relations Vice President is responsible for increasing public visibility and awareness of PSA, and for maintaining PSA’s favorable public image. The Public Relations Vice President supervises the Public Relations Committee, and the Historical Research Committee.

Publications Vice President Elena McTighe, APSA, EPSA pubVP@psa-photo.org Sea Girt, New Jersey (Previous Publications VPs)		The Publications Vice President supervises adherence to established editorial policies of the PSA Journal and recommends changes in these policies or in the Journal's format or content as may best serve the needs of the Society.
